Here are a couple of images of Volvos from my life. I have reduced the fleet to my current 242GT which is an example from the "Box with wheels" era of Volvo styling. This is a bullet proof car used for daily travel as well as long inland and interstate trips.

Earlier models I have owned include the elegant sports car known as the P1800. I had an example from the end of the production run in 1968. Features included four wheel disc brakes, fuel injection, overdrive gearbox and metallic paintwork.

The 120 series cars (known as Amazons elsewhere) were solid family cars that were well engineered and assembled. I had years of use from my 121 Estate including thousands of miles of travel through inland Australia.

The old and the new. The 242GT is now 25 Years old but still qualifies as the youngest car I have owned.
